About Bhoot - Assisted Rehome
Meet Bhoot, a 10-month-old Australian Kelpie x Border Collie mix who is bursting with energy and enthusiasm! This young, spirited guy is looking for an active and dedicated family who can keep up with his zest for life ⭐️
Bhoot is a water enthusiast; 💦 if it involves splashing, he's in! Whether it's frolicking in a clam pool, playing at the beach, or running through a sprinkler, water fun is Bhoot's forte. He also enjoys digging in the sand and chasing waves at the beach, although he can get a bit overexcited and take off for a run. Recall training is on his to-do list, adding to the adventure of training this eager-to-learn pup.
This clever boy is extremely food and treat motivated, making training sessions both effective and enjoyable. He already knows commands like sit, stay, and come, and he is crate trained, sleeping indoors in his cozy crate at night. Traveling is a breeze, as Bhoot loves car rides 🚖 He walks beautifully on a halti but may pull if using a collar or harness. Bhoot needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation to channel his abundant energy positively. Activities like food puzzles, hide and seek games, agility training, and scent work will keep him out of mischief and make him a happy dog.
Though his current environment includes small children, Bhoot's high energy levels make him better suited to a home with older kids (10 years and up) who can participate in his fun activities. He has not been fully socialized with other dogs but doesn't show aggression; a meet-and-greet would be essential to ensure compatibility if another furry friend is in the picture. He has not been exposed to cats. Bhoot does show some anxiety around lawnmowers, brooms, and vacuum cleaners, so a calm introduction to these household items will help.
Ideally, Bhoot would thrive best on a large property or a home with a spacious yard, where he can run to his heart's content and engage in all his favorite activities. He would flourish with an active family committed to meeting his exercise and training needs. If you're ready for a highly intelligent, adventurous, and loyal companion who will love learning new tricks and taking part in family activities, Bhoot might just be the perfect addition to your home.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
