About Maisey
Meet Miss Maisey, a beautiful black and tan kelpie x koolie with a luscious medium length coat. Typical of her breeds she is active, intelligent, loyal and quick to learn. Maisey is by nature a soft and gentle dog.
She loves to be close to the action and to follow her foster mum or the other dogs everywhere. When the time comes to relax, she has an excellent off switch. At the end of a busy day she turns into a cuddly teddy bear and loves nothing more than to snuggle up to her people.
She has been living with dogs young and old in foster care and is good with them. Although she is a gentle dog, she loves to play fast and furious with other dogs. Games of tug are her favourite. She has met the resident cat and chickens and showed little interest in them.
While in foster care she has learned to sit, recall and to walk on a lead. She is ready to learn as much as she can so she can become the perfect companion. She would benefit from ongoing training and would also enjoy dog sports or hobby herding. Maisey is house and crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate and waits quietly until someone lets her out.
Maisey would thrive with an active family who understands the needs of working breeds and is committed to her further training. A walk a day is not enough for Maisey, she needs room to stretch her legs and a job to do to satisfy her need for mental stimulation. She would be best suited to home with another dog to keep her company.
If you think you can provide the perfect home for Maisey, apply now. Miss Maisey will not disappoint you!

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
