Oh joy! You've decided to adopt a rescue dog!

You obviously want to make a difference in a dog's life. And Joy is a dog who really needs you to make that difference ❤️‍🩹

Joy has not had a lot of joy in her life to date. She was shown a rough start by humans and now needs a patient, loving person to show her that life can be awesome.

Sadly, Joy is scared of humans but she desperately wants to love. After months of rehabilitation with her carer, she will accept pats and attention from humans but lacks the confidence to seek it out herself. She does however gain confidence from other friendly and out going dogs, so a fur brother or sister would be IDEAL in her new home. Joy loves to play, chase and engage with other dogs. When she is happy she is a joy to watch. She will walk on a lead, but is more confident if she walks out with a fur friend.

Joy is not suited to a house with chickens or pocket pets, and a big noisy family may prove daunting for her. She has been in a foster home with dog-savvy children before and was fine with them - they knew to go slow with her and give her space and quiet when needed.

Joy will need a committed owner (ideally with another confident and well-balanced dog) who is committed to bonding with this beautiful dog and bringing her out of her shell. She’ll need a lot of time and patience, slow introductions to the big wide world and everyone in it.

The steps forward with this gorgeous girl may be small, but the impact you will have on her life should you offer her a home, will be huge.
