About Pumba
Meet Pumba!
Pumba is an adorable Guinea Pig who absolutely loves his food! Fresh veggies like crisp bell peppers, juicy cucumbers, and sweet carrots are his favorites, but he's also a big fan of leafy greens like romaine lettuce and spinach. He's always excited when it's mealtime and will squeak in delight when he knows a treat is coming his way!
Pumba is a cuddle bug who enjoys sitting on your lap, especially when he's getting a gentle brush or a good scratch behind the ears. He is a calm, friendly little guy who would be happy living with another Guinea Pig for some company and playtime.
He would love a setup with both an indoor and outdoor pen, so he can enjoy munching on fresh grass on nice days and stay cozy inside when the weather isn't so great. Pumba is looking for a loving home where he can share his days filled with snuggles, snacks, and sunshine!
PLEASE NOTE Some information displayed on the animal summery of our adoption webpage is an automatic feed relating to cats and dogs. To book a meet and greet with Pumba please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
