About Simba
Simba is as gorgeous natured as he is to look at.
This stunning, gentle boy is all about love and relaxation.
He knows the basics like sit, lay down and stay, although sometimes his desire to be with you can overpower his obedience when asked to stay or wait. He will literally be your shadow if you let him!
Simba is well past the puppy stage at 6y9m. He loves a good rough and tumble and will play until he falls asleep, then play again and sleep again. He's quite happy to just curl up on his bed and sleep.
He has been tested with small dogs and big dogs and is fine with either. He met a cranky little dog who wasn't too fond of him and snapped at him. Simba went and laid as far away from her as possible. He will always choose retreat as his first response.
He watches the sheep next door to his foster home, but hasn't been tested with them as his carer feels it is likely he would try to chase them if he had the chance.
Interestingly, Simba's foster carers have not ever heard him bark.
He hasn't had much exposure to toys, so he is still trying to work out what they are for. Often, he will just pick one up and go lay down with it, but never chews them or exhibits and destructive behaviour.
He is great with kids of all ages.
He's just an absolute big softy and has the sweetest soul. Will sit with you and lap up all the attention he can get.
He walks great on a lead, but he is still a very strong dog. He is working on his recall.
Simba is looking for a home with another dog to be his friend, as he really loves the companionship of his K9 foster brother. Ideally his new human or humans would be around a lot of the time, as he loves to near you. They would also include him in their daily life.
If you think you could provide Simba his pawfect furever home, please contact our enquiry line Monday to Friday 9-5 on 0400 372 609 or submit an application via this website
Simba's adoption fee is $450. He is desexed, vet checked, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas and ticks.
Anyone interested in possibly adopting Simba will need to be prepared to travel to the Bega Valley to meet him and bring their existing dog or dogs with them.
