About Toots
Age is just a number if you ask me!
My name is Toots and I'm a 7 year and 7 month old little pocket rocket Pug
I am honestly as fun as my name sounds!
I am a super happy senior girl who loves to spend the days out in the garden sniffing and keeping the neighbors dogs in line by sticking beaking thru the fence.
I'm a gorgeous quirky Pug girl who is on the side of the hill in life but that does not stop me from living life to the full with the biggest smile on my face.
My legs and my brain sometimes have disagreements on my energy levels and my legs will tell me that I need to rest (I can get a bit wonky) but I will do it with a grin on my face and my tongue hanging out!
Even those my legs can be a bit wonky it does not stop me from running around and enjoying my walks or outings - just stairs are not really my thing anymore.
I can have selective hearing but come on I'm a pug - don't we all?
I am 7 years old so my eyesight is not perfect but that does not slow me down.
The rescue did do my vet work and dental and made sure that my teeth were all good and I am in the best health I can be.
I have been known to be a bit of a back seat driver when I think you need it while driving but I still do it with a smile on my face and fun in my body!
I absolutely love life and believe it should be lived to the fullest with my cheeky smile and play time and then nap time.
At nighttime I love to cuddle up in my circle dog bed next to your side of the bed - I'm not a fan of being on the bed and very much love having my own bed to snooze the night away in.
I am toilet trained.
I currently live with other dogs of all sizes and ages and personalities and just think it's fun to play with the pups and then the older dogs and then snuggle with who I choose - would happily have a fur sibling to hang with and create fond memories with.
I am currently living with a 10-year-old boy - he thinks I'm fun and I do like to watch tv on the couch with him
My foster mum has said that cats shouldn’t be a problem either – I won’t chase them she says it's because I probably won't notice them
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home, shift work etc whilst I might be older I am still living life to the fullest and would love to do that with you.
Oh yeah, my foster mum said I had to mention to you pug lovers something really important - I don't have a double coat so the hair is controllable, and pug lovers will understand that's a win.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
