About Allegra
Get ready to meet the girl with a heart of gold and the body of a noodle, Allegra!
'Leggy' as her shelter friends have nicknamed her is a young puppy that has been here way too long for us to have given her a nickname. Surrendered to us by a backyard breeder, Allegra and her siblings have been thrust into the busy shelter quite scared, unsure of what's going on. Now all of her siblings have found their forever home, leaving Allegra alone and waiting for her own family.
She is sweet and loving as they come and absolutely loves cuddles by anybody who will give them out. Unfortunately, Allegra wasn't given all the basic tools to grow in confidence as a little baby, so now we need your help to break the cycle and get this beautiful girl into an enriching and nurturing home. Like all puppies, socialisation and training is key. She'll need some extra training with some basic manners and the toilet department, but she's highly food motivated so training her should be easy!
Allegra still lacks a little confidence .. that is, until she meets another dog! We highly recommend that she go home to another canine friend who can teach her how to be the best doggy she can and that the world isn't such a scary place. Please bring your pooches in to us and lets have a meet and greet!
Secondary school aged kids and older are more her speed, as younglings can spook her with their fast movements and no boundaries love. Please bring everybody in the family along to meet her! She still has some growing to do, and will send up being a large 'leggy' dog that will need lots of enrichment to keep her mind and body active, but we can see Allegra becoming your own personal shadow - following you on camping trips, going out on hikes or just lounging with you on the couch.
Please take her home, she has so much love to give!
Weight: 18kg (with some room to grow!)
