About Lux
Meet Lux,
Lux is a handsome, confident & curious cat who is suitable for first time owners. Lux is friendly, happy & affectionate.
Lux is suitable for any household environment as he is fairly easy-going & laid back and he is open to meet kids of any age.
Lux doesn't mind being picked up or carried but he may fuss a little. He's independent & likes to do his own thing but will seek you out for attention & affection. Lux LOVES pats & will rub against you and bunt you to show his appreciation & adoration of you. He loves to be pampered & brushed, likes his ears being scratched & being patted all over.
As we can't test in this environment, we are unsure how Lux would go living with dogs. This decision though would be up to his new owners.
Lux previously lived with another cat, in fact he lived with Dutchess (ID: 11379) prior to being surrendered to us.
Lux is best to live indoors only. Although his personality can handle being outside, having him outside puts him at risk of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. Lux will happily be an indoor cat & most importantly will be safe inside too. He could even be suited to a catio/cat enclosure where he can enjoy the outside world safely.
Lux has low energy levels – he will still play with toys, in particular string toys, but it’s only occasionally. He prefers human interaction.
Lux appears to be a little fussy with food but will still eat what we offer him - he’s more of a grazer. He is also a very clean kitty, and always uses his litter tray! Lux isn't very vocal either.
Staff Comments: Lux is a very sweet & affectionate cat who has settled into our cattery very quickly. He would love nothing more than his comfy bed and someone to pat him (& tell him how handsome he is).

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
