About Kanga SUK012778
Meet Kanga, a gentle and affectionate teenager with a heart full of love waiting to be shared. Though she's a bit shy and nervous when meeting new people or adjusting to new environments, Kanga is worth the patience and time it takes for her to feel comfortable. Once she settles into her surroundings, she reveals a playful and friendly nature that will surely bring joy to your life.
Kanga prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and enjoys a consistent routine. Sudden noises or changes can easily frighten her, so a quiet, peaceful home without young children or canines would be the ideal setting. Here, she can thrive and feel safe, knowing that her environment is gentle and predictable.
Despite her initial shyness, Kanga has a playful streak and enjoys gentle games and toys. She may benefit from the companionship of a confident feline friend who can show her the way and help her feel more at ease.
From her foster home -
Kanga is a very gentle soul who has a made a great effort to overcome her fear and anxiety towards humans. She is greatly comforted by gentle pats and soothing words. Benefits from routine. Is easily frightened by noises and even changes in routine.
She has shown me a lot of trust and affection, she plays with me, rolls on the floor in front of me exposing her tunny for limited pat, loves praise and reassuring words. Enjoys gentle music. Plays with natural feathers on a cord and jingle balls.
She is a young, impressionable, delightful teenager who tries hard to please their human and receive lots of pats.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
