Meet our gorgeous little Squishy faced Black & White “ Pie colored” gorgeous 13 kilos baby French Bulldog … Saint .
Our amazing baby Frenchie is a sweet little fella who adores one and all from other dogs of all sizes to little humans who love dogs. Saint has been in foster care with a higher energy young Kelpie and school aged children and we have definitely decided that his name is definitely his personality.
Saint is an outgoing little dude and loves daily outings for a walk. Playing with his favorite toy … a ball and chillin on the couch.
MEDICAL
Saint being a Squishy faced boy has had the BOAS surgery completed by our vets to ensure that he can breathe as best as this breed can for now and the future. In a nutshell the surgery has involved the widening of the nostrils to open the airways and removal of excess tissue in the throat to allow the airways to become wider to the lungs. This was completed 5 weeks ago and Saint has recovered beautifully. He is also desexed , Vaccinated and Fully Wormed
Saint being a young boy can at times throw a hmmmm “ Toddler tantrum” so to speak and these times on some occasions if you are wanting him to go outside and he refuses … when you try to pick him up to take him out he can growl and snap .. and when it's bed time and he decides it's not time if you try to pick him up and place him in the crate again he can growl and snap. This behavior is not all the time on occasions and to ensure Saint is learning that behavior is not accepted we have started to use the lead to ensure he makes the correct choice in these situations and this has significantly improved these toddler tantrums. We will be seeking a new home that will ensure that this behavior is continued to be worked on by confendet handlers
He is fully crate trained, house trained unless you forget to let him out quick enough . and knows all basic obedience commands and thrives with a structured routine.
Saint is independent, low maintenance and low activity.
He's playful and happiest during a game of tug or fetch. He loves water and is a huge fan of the shower and will happily spend time in there relaxing. Belly rubs and a brush are the quickest way to Saint’s heart.
Saint loves chasing balls or anything that moves, even the whipper snipper (be careful as it is more of an attack). While he never barks to come inside, he will wait patiently by the door. His excitement for bones and treats makes turning every reward into a mini celebration. And when it comes to walks, Saint loves a walk, strutting along on his lead like a true pro.
They love playing tug of war and lazing around.
Saint loves picking up anything from around the house and holding it in his mouth.
Saint loves the car. Sits comfortably during the trip.
Saint is fed premium puppy food and is fed 2 times a day. . He does have food aggression towards other dogs at meal times and if adopted to a home with another dog will need to be fed separately
Adoption Criteria
A home with a secure yard and shade and shelter
A home with children will be great as he loves to play with them but we would be seeking dog savvy and school aged
A home with another dog is great BUT we would be seeking a female companion if a dog is in residence but Saint will also thrive as an only dog.
Not tested with cats
A home that will allow him to be an inside dog and be confident to manage as per our guidance his tantrums when not wanting to go out.
