Once he has had a good sniff and gets to know you, he will greet you with a happy little dance that is

Dukey absolutely adores spending time with his people. Whether it's lounging on the couch or just hanging out, he thrives on human interaction.
He loves going for car rides and makes the perfect travel companion.
Ear rubs are one of his favorite forms of affection.
Dukey enjoys his daily walks and looks forward to them eagerly.
Dukey is a social dog who enjoys human company immensely. He loves to sit on the couch and watch television or simply hang out with his family. Initially, he may be a little cautious, but once he feels comfortable, he will become your best friend and loyal companion.
When it comes to other dogs, Dukey is curious but prefers to keep to himself. He is happy to have a sniff but, being an older gentleman, he is not very interested in playing. He can feel a bit intimidated if other dogs get too close to his face.
Dukey prefers having his humans around and can get a bit barky if left outside alone. However, if he has access to the house and can look out the front windows, he settles down quite well and feels at home.
Dukey is house-trained and behaves politely indoors. He is allowed on the couch and bed, where he enjoys snuggling. He has shown no destructive traits, making him an excellent housemate.
Dukey is a bit on the plump side, so we are working on his waistline. We hope his new family will continue to exercise him regularly and avoid giving him too many treats. He is currently fed a high-quality kibble to maintain his health.
Dukey absolutely loves car rides and is the perfect companion for trips away. His enthusiasm for car rides makes traveling with him a joy.
Dukey loves to sleep up on the bed, where he can snuggle close. He finds comfort in being near his humans during the night.
Dukey enjoys his daily walks around the block and to the oval. He walks well on a lead and maintains a good pace. He knows his basic commands and will sit when asked, making him a well-behaved walking companion.
Dukey has a short, easy-to-care-for coat with moderate shedding. He is toilet trained, which makes maintaining his hygiene straightforward.
Medical
Dukey is vaccinated and microchipped. He recently had a benign lump removed from his left shoulder, which has healed well but still has a bit of a visible scar while his hair grows back. He has had a dental and clean and polish so his teeth are in excellent condition
Ideal Home
Dukey would thrive in a quiet home where he can go on daily walks and enjoy the outdoors. A home that allows him inside for plenty of couch cuddles would be ideal. He is looking for a family that will continue to provide him with the love, care, and exercise he needs to stay happy and healthy.
A home where people are home more often than not, he doesn’t like being left alone for long periods of time
