About Lenny
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- a grassed yard or courtyard
- someone with lots of love to give this gorgeous boy!
We find Lenny to be a perfect pet! This lovely boy is polite, enjoys a cuddle, walks well on lead, sits for treats and would really love to find a comfy couch to call his own.
Lenny is really easy to live with. He sleeps through the night and quite a bit of the day. Lenny loves to go for walks, he can be a bit strong on lead from time to time but is easily corrected. I think his most favourite thing is checking out all the new smells.
Lenny is a polite boy, and knows to wait for his food, and his party trick is that he will always sit for treats! He has been quite quick to learn boundaries such as staying out of the kitchen, waiting at the door before walking through and staying out of the bathroom. Staying off the couch – well he has not quite mastered that one yet, so if you were happy to have your dogo on the couch or the bed, Lenny would happily oblige.
Lenny is fostered with another greyhound and gets along well with them and any other greyhound her meets. He would suit a home where there are other greys, but he would be okay as a solo dog. He enjoys having his people around, but he may be able to cope with full-time workers, as long as he gets his daily walk.
Lenny travels fine in a car. During the day, besides sleeping, Lenny loves playing with his squeaky toys and enjoys carrying his favourite yellow fluffy toy around the house. Like most Greys he is a sticky beak and loves to know what you’re up to and will happily snooze nearby.
Lovely Lenny, does like a wander around the garden and certainly will have a good sniff and a bit of a run, maybe his forever home will have a patch of grass, people that are home more than not or perhaps a friendly greyhound to share his space with.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
