About Parker
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Home more than not
- Children over 5 years
- A small yard for Parker's zoomies
Parker is a very loving, gentle and affectionate dog. Parker walks well on a lead and enjoys his half hour daily walk. He is an easy dog to walk and is content to walk slowly stopping now and then for a nice sniff. If he encounters other dogs whilst out walking, he is interested but keeps walking.
He isn’t very interested in toys although he will chase a toy or a ball through the air but when it hits the ground he loses interest. However, he does loves doing zoomies in the back garden.
Parker most enjoys being in a home with his people. He sleeps soundly the whole night in his bed near his people’s bedroom. We have our bedroom door shut. He sleeps in a Portsea bed which he just loves, as you can see from his pics of him snoozing and roaching.
Parker loves receiving pats and just hanging out with his people. He would best suit a family who would be home more often the not as he misses his people when they are not home. Kids over 5 years would be best for Parker as he doesn’t understand his own size and could easily knock over small children.
Parker would be best in a home with medium/large dogs. He does like meeting other greyhounds and larger dogs. Parker travels well in the car. He is happy sitting down on the back seat. We have a 4-door ute so we have to assist Parker getting into the ute.
Parker is fully toilet trained. He will sometimes try to push past you in small areas but a command of “No” will stop him. Parker is fine around the home and is not bothered by noise from the vacuum cleaner or washing machine.
Wouldn't this handsome boy be perfect in your home?
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
