About Tina
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A quiet home life to suit a very sweet girl!
- Children over 10 years
Meet Tina, a sweet and gentle greyhound looking for her forever home. Tina is on the hunt for owners to share all her love with. Shyly affectionate, Tina loves to lean on you for pats and enjoys napping nearby while you work or watch TV. She isn’t particularly interested in toys but does have the occasional burst of playful energy and zoomies.
Tina is still gaining confidence on the leash and may stop to watch approaching people or dogs passing by, but with a little patience and reassurance, she’s ready to continue her walk. She is mostly sedate and enjoys her daily strolls, although sometimes she does prefer just one, that keep her happy and tuckered out.
Tina prefers to keep her distance from children but loves receiving pats from friendly adults. She will happily move to the side to let other dogs pass and continue her walk, although small dogs may cause her to hesitate.
In busy or noisy environments, Tina can feel overwhelmed, but she’s making good progress. She travels well in the car but needs to be assisted in. Tina would do well in a quiet home as a solo dog, and though she loves her human’s company, she can adjust with time to being alone if her family works full time.
Tina's ideal home would have older children or adults, as she can be skittish and might accidentally knock over young children. She knows basic commands like “wait” and “okay” during feeding time. She also understands “out” as she does love to lay in the kitchen while you’re cooking and inspect the fridge/pantry when its open.
Though she may cry a little when you leave, she’s generally happy to relax and do her own thing, she really enjoys people watching out the window and basking in the sun. Tina is very content being an inside dog, she is good about letting you know when she needs to toilet.
If you’re looking for a low key, loving companion who enjoys her alone time as much as her cuddle time, a pet that just fits into the household, Tina might be the perfect addition to your family.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
