About Gault
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Home more than away or a doggie companion
- Children over 8 years
- At least a small yard
Gault is a friendly, happy boy who is happiest when he can hang around with you. He is always smooching up alongside you to see if he can get a pat or cuddle. He enjoys visitors and always greets them enthusiastically.
He sleeps through the night and has free range in his foster home – but generally he chooses a bed near the bedroom. He will happily lie in until you get up – and always greets you in the morning with a happy tail wag!
Gault loves his 40-minute daily walk and walks well on leash. He waits very patiently while his foster mates mark on every upright thing! Out walking he is well behaved and barely even gives a passing glance to any other dogs we meet. The small dogs he has met only warrant a gentle sniff and then he loses interest.
He has quickly adapted to living in a home and is fairly good at respecting boundaries. For example, he doesn’t get up on the couch even though he would just luv to! He is currently living happily with two male greyhounds and would probably be fine with any medium/large sized dog. Gault just wants to hang out wherever you are. At home he loves to roach and snooze in whichever room you are in. And if you wish to do some gardening, he will happily join you and do some yard exploring.
Several times a day he will get a dose of the zoomies and will grab a toy to throw in the air and run around the house with, but like most greyhounds it is a short-lived event! But his enthusiasm means he would be best around children over 8 years.
Of course, he is toilet trained and he will always go and stand near a door to let you know he needs to go.
Did I mention that he has an impressive overbite? Well, it certainly adds to his striking good looks! But never interferes with the speed at which he can demolish a chicken wing. He has a good appetite and will eat whatever is put in front of him.
Gault is an all-round good boy and will make a great wingman for his new owner – is that you?
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
