Meet Rusty

We are taking expressions of interest Rusty isn't available to go home until this weekend after his dental procedure 🩵

Rusty is a loveable little dog that will steal your heart! He loves pats and cuddles and once he knows you he will happily cuddle all day every day 🥹
He is the king of sleep and he loves to lounge around 😸

Rusty is mostly blind, he has had one eye removed that needed to come out and the other eye sees just shaows but he's able to get around very well considering! He knows where the dog beds are and will make himself at home on them getting all warm and cosy. He LOVES a comfy bed and will roll around in one until he finds his sweet spot. Rusty still needs some coaxing when going for a walk on a lead, he's not that interested but once he starts he will do a short walk for you.

We are seeking a quiet loving home with no kids, Rusty can be a little nervous given his minimal vision so we are seeking a home without any kids for him. He does sometimes get a fright from little humans running up to him unexpectedly. He also thrives in a quiet relaxing home so we think that is best for him.

Rusty hasn't been well cared for in his previous home and came in extremely matted and unkept. While he was able to tolerate a professional groom he needs more expsore to things like washing him, and gently brushing him to desensitise him to grooming. Otherwise he's had a full dental in our care and his prolapsed eye that needed to come out has been removed. He's the sweetest dog who will following you around and lap up all the affection he can 🥰

While Rusty is dog and cat friendly he's not exactly bonded with dogs and doesn't really care to be around them too much. If you have another dog they would have to match his energy levels given he's 11 year old. Only another older docile dog would be suitable to live with him. He would also be fine as an only dog.
