About Vance
Meet Vance,
Vance was adopted recently, but unfortunately it didn't work out, so he is back looking for his forever home. Vance is friendly & happy boy & is suitable for first time cat owners. He is agreeable & easy going - he may be timid at first but trust us when we say that he will show you his super affectionate & social side once he feels comfy - he just needs a little time to warm up!
Vance is suitable for any household environment as he is easy-going & a genuinely great kitty!
Vance is open to meet kids of any age. He is confident in himself & his surrounds and is also quite a curious young chap! Vance loves being picked up, carried & cuddled – in fact, he LOVES being cuddled! He also loves to be petted all over his little, soft body and will loudly purr & start to make biscuits to show how content & happy he is.
Vance could be the type of cat to be able to live with dogs, but we cannot confirm this completely as he cannot test in this environment. What we do know is that when he was in the cat park, he wasn’t too phased about the noise from the barking dogs. This, however, would be up to the discretion of his new owners and if Vance is adopted into a home with a dog their integration & introduction should be gradual & slow.
As for cats, Vance previously lived with another cat, and when meeting another cat in the cattery he was very interested & keen to make friends!
When it comes to living outdoors, we respectfully ask that our cats be indoors only. Vance would be best to be indoors only because he’s not confident being outside. The outside world is a lot to take in and allowing him outside may expose him to such risks as him running away, getting lost, injured, or worse.
Vance has medium energy needs. He loves to play with toys and so far, doesn’t have a favourite (unless you count that all of the toys are his favourite).
Vance is not fussy with food; he loves ALL food. Vance may be a little chatty here and there but most of the time he’s quiet (unless he’s purring!)
Lastly, Vance is a tidy boy & always uses his litter tray like a true gentleman.
Staff Comments: Vance is a lovely, cuddly cats. He wants all if your attention but he is happy to share as he also likes other cats too! Whilst getting some pats from staff while on his bed, he did a big stretch, purred loudly & started to make biscuits. He allows touching ALL over his body and gives little head butts to show his adoration of you.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
