Pickle

Our perfect gal, Pickle is looking for her forever paw-rents!

Pickle has spent some time in foster care and this is what her lovely foster carer had to say about her;

Pickle loves:
- Her tennis ball
- Chicken
- Eating my leftover veggies (carrots and broccoli are a fave)
- Doing her spider-dog impression
- Welcoming you home with her tail-wagging butt dance.

Pickle's great at:
- Listening to commands. In the space of two weeks she's learned to sit on command, go to her bed, stay where she is until called when her food is down, and even now sits on the kerb before crossing the road without me asking her to. - We're getting started on paw and fetch, she's picking it up really quick.
- Having the sweetest face ever.

Pickle needs to work on:
- Toilet training. In the first week, it was lots of poos and wees inside, but she is improving every day and we are confident she can get to 100% toilet trained!
- Overcoming her fear of paper bags

A little bit from the adoption staff at LDH now:

She is suited to live with adults only (16+) and will need a calm environment and calm adopters to help her flourish. Pickle is a little anxious when it comes to new people and environments. Everything new for her can be quite a lot to process, so please take it slowly.

She may be suitable to live with another dog, but preferably this will be done in a gradual, positive manner with lots of treats for her.

Pickle will benefit immensely from force-free training. The patience you have for her now; will come back in immeasurable ways. She has so much love to give, but at such a young age she will need help coming out of her shell.
