About Beenleigh
Beenleigh, affectionately called "Beenie," was found in a box along with his young kits, having been brought to the refuge by a kind-hearted helper. This devoted father had faithfully cared for his litter, showering them with the nurturing love and attentive companionship that only a truly devoted parent can provide. Now safe in the refuge, Beenie no longer has to worry about finding food and water to sustain himself and his babies - he could simply focus on bonding with his little ones and feeling safe in the warm, secure environment that has been provided for them.
Beenie's gentle, calm personality shines through in everything he does, the curious, exploratory way he investigates his new surroundings. He takes great delight in burrowing into the cozy tunnels and boxes, using these as a comfortable retreat to rest and recharge when he needs a break from playtime. This sweet-natured rabbit has clearly been through hardship, but his resilient spirit and trusting nature remain intact, leaving no doubt that he would make an ideal companion for any potential adopter.
Beenie is eagerly awaiting the chance to find his forever home and loving rabbit partner to share his days with. His carers have no doubt that anyone who comes to meet this special bunny will be instantly charmed by his gentle demeanor and endearing personality. Potential adopters are encouraged to reach out to the refuge to arrange a bonding session and see firsthand just how wonderful Beenie truly is. This doting dad deserves nothing less than the happy, secure future he so rightly deserves.
Beens children are doing well but not available at present and will be rebonded as a trio in the future once all desexed. Hence he is looking for his own partner.

Adoption details
To meet our bunnies you will need to make a non obligated "Adoption" appointment where all your questions will be answered.
https://blueyalicebunnyrefuge.org.au/book-online/
We will not adopt any bunnies out unless they have met you. They can be sensitive little creatures and we need to make sure that both the bunny and hoomins will be happy with their new match.
Coming to the Refuge for an appointment is the best way to know what bunny is best for your family. We like as many of the family to come out on that day, so you can all sit with different buns to see who you connect with.
This is actually a vital part as it will determine if there are any family members that present with allergies! There is nothing more shattering to anyone than to take home an adored new pet only to have to return them because someone else in the house shows a severe allergy. Mild allergies can be managed but not severe ones!
Please note that there are only some bunnies suitable on their own. Most bunnies will need to be adopted with a companion.
To meet our bunnies you will need to make a "Bonding" appointment where all your questions will be answered.

Of course if you wish to find a companion for your bunny, bring your bun too. Your buns vaccination will need to be up to date & within the last 10 months.
Please note that rabbit bonding only happens at the rescue and we do not allow adopters to bond offsite.
