Meet Sardi! A sweet natured, gentle and clever German Shepherd, who is loved by all here at our shelter!
Beautiful Sardi was surrendered to The Home after her previous owners moved overseas and could not take her with them.

At 6 years of age, Sardi is beyond her crazy puppy years, and now enjoys the calmer and quieter avenues in life. Sardi absolutely ADORES exploring and would love for her new family to take her on lots of fun adventures so she has many things to sniff and explore.

When Sardi came into care, she was a little bit on the chunkier side for her breed! We've been working with her here at the shelter to try and get her down to healthier weight for her breed - her new owners will need to continue to support her through her journey and keep her on a bit of a stricter diet to begin with.

Sardi's previous owners shared with us that Sardi can become a bit stressed when left alone, so Sardi would love if her new family could be home with her more often than not. She just wants all the love and cuddles in the world and much prefers to be spending the days in the company of her family.

Here at the shelter, Sardi hasn't shown a huge interest in toys, she is more interested in people and will actively seek you out for love, pats and cuddles. She would love for her new family to shower her with love and affection, after all, she deserves it! We recommend Sardi goes to a home with secondary school aged children or older, however it may be possible for her to be around younger children, depending on their appropriateness & previous experience around animals. If your home has any children under the age of 12, please ensure they attend with you for the meet & greet!

Sardi has shown some signs of nervousness and uncertainty around other dogs here at the shelter, however we do believe that with slow and positive introductions, Sardi may be suitable to share her new home with another dog. If you do have another dog at home, they must come and meet Sardi first, to ensure she has a chance to warm up and get to know her new friends before going home!
