Meet Whisper!

Whisper may be considered still a baby but don't let that fool you, she has an old soul. At just 8 months old, she has found herself without a home, something no baby pup should have to experience. Penguin needs a warm, cozy home with a loving family to spend the rest of her life with.

Whisper is such a special girl, she is sweet and sensitive and adores human companionship. The staff here at the home have this to say about Whisper.

"She was so nervous at the start, but once I gained her trust she was so trusting and sweet."

Whisper is a typical Border Collie - she is super smart, can sit on cue and with hand signals and loves to get out for exercise, this is a crucial part of her daily enrichment to ensure her mind and body stay active. She would need a home that is not only committed to continuing her exercise regime and incorporate lots of enrichment.

As you can imagine, for a dog that is quite fearful at the beginning of interactions, Whisper needs her space away from other animals so would prefer to be the only dog in the household. This is not just because other dogs worry her a little, but also because he wants you all to himself! This may change in the future if you commit to ongoing training and positive introductions with other doggos, but for right now - a single dog home is where she needs to be to start.

Whisper has previously live with cats - so if you plan on taking her to a feline-friendly home, please let our staff know - we can give you all the tips and tricks in to turning those new meetings in to successful lifelong friendships.

Just like with other dogs, Whisper doesn't want any little kiddies in the home. While she is super sweet, she can be somewhat cautious of new and loud things, so kids might just be a tad too much at this point in Whisper's life.
