Meet Herb: A Clever, Curious Young Dog Ready to Learn and Love

Herb is one of the last of our Herbs and Spices litter, and he’s still waiting to find his forever home. This intelligent, inquisitive boy has grown into a bright and eager learner. His love of food makes training rewarding, and he picks up new skills quickly.

Herb is past the puppy stage but still perfecting his manners, so he’ll thrive with a patient owner who can continue to guide him as he matures into a well-behaved companion. With his sleek black coat, mismatched white socks, and mischievous charm, Herb is truly one of a kind.

He’s well-socialized with both younger and older dogs, and he loves being a little shadow — following other dogs around and playing tag in the yard. Herb would do best in a home with an existing dog and children over 12. He already knows how to sit and is making progress with leash training and using a grass mat for toileting.

Having spent his whole life in a shelter environment, Herb will need a home that can patiently help him adjust to the outside world. He can be a little unsure in new settings or around loud noises, but with love and reassurance, he’s sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
