Oscar

Oscar is a beautiful young dog at just 2 years, 5 months of age. He has lived his whole life with another dog, so leaving that house and coming into foster care was a little concerning for Oscar, but he was simply amazing! He travelled really well in the car and was keen to investigate his new surroundings when he got to his foster home. He was really happy to meet his foster siblings, not one but TWO doggies about his size to play with! He was a happy boy, but then the surprises just kept coming!

At his foster home, he is allowed not only on the back deck where the (love of all loves) BBQ is!!!! He is also allowed inside! So his foster siblings were quick to show him around "their house".

Oscar is settling well and enjoying all the things his foster family are teaching him. He loves to learn, especially as there are always treats involved and lots of pats and praise.

Oscar walks reasonably well on lead for a dog with limited training, but further practice will have this skill really well cemented. He also sits beautifully when asked.

Oscar has a cute stumpy tail which he loves to wag, he was born like that, and it helps him to stand out from the crowd.

Oscar is not super keen on water but for bathtime he can easily be distracted into cooperation by some strategically placed peanut butter on the wall. In fact, peanut butter is his favourite "currency"! Just be sure it is all natural and doesn't contain and artificial sweeteners.

Oscar will do well in any home that can offer him lots of love, attention, ongoing training, outings and activities where he will be included. He would be best in a home with another friendly dog, as he really does enjoy K9 company. He is good with young kids and knows not to jump on them. He is untested with cats but may be ok if introduced carefully.

Any potential adopter for Oscar will need to be prepared to travel to the Bega Valley to meet him, bringing any existing family dogs with them.

Oscar is desexed, microchipped, vet checked, C5 vaccinated, wormed and flea and tick treated.
