Lui is one of Rescue Hub’s assisted adoption dogs.
This means that he is still living with his current owners while we help search for his new perfect home.

🏥 Health: Desexed, vaccinated and flea and worm treated
🐕 Animal companions: Dog friendly - currently living with another kelpie. Untested with cats
👧🏻 Kids: Teenagers who are dog savvy - no young children as he can forget his large size and knock smaller children

Lui is a playful and sweet boy who very much enjoys playing with his toys. He is fond of being outdoors with his humans for a fun game of fetch in the backyard or a nice walk where he can have a good sniff of his surroundings (something he unfortunately is lacking the opportunity of in his current home).
Cuddles, pats or just being in the presence of his human companions will always be Lui’s most favourite activity. He loves to snuggle up beside you and simply enjoy your company.
Lui gets along well with other dogs - currently sharing a home with another Kelpie. He would definitely benefit from living with another large canine who is similar in size to him, one that can become his new best friend.
Lui is an outside dog in most recent times, however he would love the opportunity to be welcomed inside his new home with his humans, so he can receive the love, security and stability he truely deserves. When he was inside, he had lovely house etiquette and was toilet trained. He would find a cosy spot to curl up in and sleep the afternoon away.
Unfortunately when Lui was a younger pup, he was attacked by another dog causing him to need surgery, so he can be a little anxious, nervy and jumpy at times. He will need compassionate, understanding and patient human companions to help him work through these feelings when he is feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated by life’s activities.
Lui’s ideal home would be a household with adults (possibility of older teenagers), people who are home more often than not as some barking can occur when left for long periods alone, and someone to offer him the opportunity to be a part of their daily lives.
This gorgeous boy has so much love to give and he will make a great addition to the right home who has the time offer.
