About Lars
🤎 Choccy nose and freckles!🤎
Lars is a lovely big cuddly baby who is thriving in foster care. He takes a lot of guidance from our resident dog, particularly on walkies to feel safe and confident so we would like to see him adopted by someone with a calm resident mentor dog.
At 8kg now it’s likely Lars will be medium-large. Lars is friendly with our cat, they share smooches and he will try to have occasional play so a puppy-savvy cat is fine. Lars is a quick learner and will do well in a home where someone can commit to ongoing training, activities and enrichment. He needs a slow intro to new things but once he’s learned it’s not scary there’s no looking back. Given his soft nature we think Lars would do ok with kids so long as they are puppy savvy and old enough to not accidentally frighten him.
He is well on his way to being toilet trained, if he doesn’t get outside he’ll at least go on a wee mat. A master slipper-thief, Lars currently likes short walks, playtime in the backyard, treat toys and joining us on errands or at a cafe. He settles well out and about, in the car and at home. While he is now used to spending a few hours alone at a time, any puppy benefits from someone being home more often than not (more opportunities for learning and enrichment!) so that would be preferable.
Lars loves to snuggle the evening away with us and he sleeps well in his crate overnight. We will miss this darling pup!
We only adopt puppies in homes where there is a resident dog.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
