About Mazzy
Mazzy, like many other female cats, was abandoned by her human family when she "kept getting herself pregnant". Rather than doing the responsible thing and getting her desexed, her humans decided it was easier to dump her somewhere.
They then went the extra step in an effort to sever all ties, and updated her microchip status to say she was 'deceased'.
Luckily, Mazzy and her kittens were eventually found on the street by a wonderful human who worked tirelessly to earn their trust. This kindhearted person slowly got them comfortable with coming into her house, and began the socialisation process.
From there, she reached out to us for help.
Having a 'deceased' cat in our care added a layer of complication to things, as we are not authorised to make any decisions about major medical procedures, etc. Furthermore, rescues are not granted access to microchip information, so we could not rectify things ourselves. Luckily, after reaching out to both the microchip company and our local vet, we were finally able to get Mazzy resurrected from her former status and officially into our name.

Mazzy is an absolute *sweetheart*, despite being let down by her former 'family' and having had to fend for herself and her kittens for far too long.
She is super friendly, purry, low maintenance, and just an all-around delightful cat.
She loves people and is very affectionate, but does not need constant attention or validation.
She is playful and upbeat, but not overly boisterous.
She is tidy and quiet and laid back.
She gets along great with other cats of all ages and genders (though she prefers the company of adult cats because, let's face it, kittens can get a bit annoying). The person who found her also has a gentle dog, and Mazzy was great with the pup.

NO cat should EVER be abandoned, but we take it even more personally when cats like Mazzy are thrown away.
She has absolutely no behavioural or health issues.
She gorgeous and sweet and loving... she is truly the PERFECT cat.
Her only 'flaw' was that her former family was irresponsible, and then they blamed her. :(
Mazzy needs a forever family who will recognise how wonderful she is, because she deserves the absolute best for the rest of her life.
We are also looking for a foster home for her, because her kittens have been adopted and she currently all alone in her room.

Adoption details
If interested in a cat that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet.
Please note: As we are all volunteers with limited time up our sleeves, we prefer all interested potential adopters to fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
