🐾 Meet Buddy - The Best Mate You Haven't Met Yet! 🐾

Hi, I'm Buddy, and I'm looking for something I've been dreaming about for a very long time... a family of my own.

I've spent over 720 days in foster care without a single meet-and-greet. While my foster dad is pretty awesome and takes great care of me, I can't help but wonder sometimes why no one has come to meet me. Surely my people are out there somewhere?

Let me tell you a little about myself.

I'm well and truly past the chaos of puppyhood, which means you get all the fun parts of having a dog without the chewed shoes, stolen socks, and questionable life choices. I'm fully house-trained, know how to behave indoors, and I'm always up for a cuddle. In fact, if professional cuddling was a sport, I'd probably be competing at the Olympics.

I'm fantastic with people and love being included in whatever is happening. Whether it's hanging out in the backyard, watching TV on the couch, or heading off on an adventure, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my humans.

Now, about kids. I'd be best suited to a home with children 12 years and older. Not because I'm naughty or grumpy, but because I'm a bit of a goofy, lovable boofhead who sometimes forgets how big I am. Smaller children could accidentally get bowled over during one of my enthusiastic moments. Older kids are perfect because they can join in on my favourite activities like soccer, cricket, tug-of-war, and pretty much any game that involves having fun.

I'd also love a home with a decent-sized yard where I can stretch my legs and perform my award-winning zoomies. I get along well with most dogs, but because of my enthusiastic personality, I'd be best matched with medium to large canine friends who can keep up with my energy and won't be accidentally flattened during playtime.

Cats? The jury is still out on that one. I haven't had the chance to meet any yet, but my foster dad thinks I may be okay with slow and sensible introductions.

One of my absolute favourite things is going for a ride in the car. Adventure? Count me in! Beach trips, bush walks, exploring new places, or even just being your co-pilot on a coffee run, I'm always ready to go. I enjoy my daily walks, although I should probably confess that I still pull on the lead a bit. What can I say? The world is exciting! Every smell, sound, bird, leaf, and passing cloud seems like important business. With some continued training, I'm sure I'll get better. Until then, think of it as a complimentary upper-body workout.

What I really need is a home where someone is around for much of the day. I'm a social guy who genuinely loves human company and being part of the family. I'm not looking for perfection, just someone who will give me a chance.

After all this time waiting, I still believe my forever family is out there somewhere.
