Meet Agatha & Christie (Information Below)!
Christie came to the RSPCA with her sister Agatha both were underweight but christie was severely malnourished with her little hips and ribs showing, to top it off she was also losing her fur. Foster care was what the vets decided and after a week our little power house had gained over 100g! She still has a lot of catching up to do but her fur is starting to get thicker and she has the energy to run around and explore with her sister. Christie is curious and cheeky, she loves to let you know how excited she is for food, you can hear her 3 rooms away when the rustle of a packet announces the possibility of veggies. She is well handled and confident happily sitting on an arm or lap or climbing up to snuggle on a shoulder if you are sitting back against a pillow.
At 11 months old Agatha and Christie have the confidence and curiosity of a fully grown adult who has had years of handling. Agatha & Christie are a bonded pair and will need to be rehomed together, they are quite happy for it to just be the two of them but may allow another friend. Agatha would do best with an older female guinea pig who can manage her attitude and keep her in check. Christie would do best with older females who are used to sharing their food and won't push her around too much like her sister has. Having constant access to hay will help them with this as a lot of their attitudes can be attributed to fear that the food might run out, like it used to. Both girls would be happy in a house with kids and has lived with other pets around. Although they will need a hutch that keeps them safe and gives them space to get away from them if they want.
Do you have some older girls willing to teach a youngster how good life can be?
