Meet Agatha (Information Below) & Christie!
Agatha came into the RSPCA with her sister Christie. Both girls were underweight and in need of some love and time to heal in foster. It wasn't long before Agatha showed the powerful attitude and curiosity that helped her survive her old life. Before the first week was over she had gained an impressive 100g! She delighted in every new food and excitedly squealed at the slightest rustle in the hope it might mean more was coming. With each day her energy grew and she started binkying when it was time for a run out of the pen exploring every inch of the room. Nothing seemed to scare her she will happily sit on a chest, arm or lap for a pat (especially if you have bamboo or capsicum). She will climb over you to investigate someone else and rarely runs and hides once she knows your voice.
At 11 months old Agatha and Christie have the confidence and curiosity of a fully grown adult who has had years of handling. Agatha & Christie are a bonded pair and will need to be rehomed together, they are quite happy for it to just be the two of them but may allow another friend. Agatha would do best with an older female guinea pig who can manage her attitude and keep her in check. Christie would do best with older females who are used to sharing their food and won't push her around too much like her sister has. Having constant access to hay will help them with this as a lot of their attitudes can be attributed to fear that the food might run out, like it used to. Both girls would be happy in a house with kids and has lived with other pets around. Although they will need a hutch that keeps them safe and gives them space to get away from them if they want.
