About Ollie
Have the best of both worlds with playful goofball who is also a polite and well-behaved gentleman with a zest for life. With Ollie by your side, you're guaranteed a loyal companion who's eager to please and eager to love.
Ollie thrives in a structured environment with clear rules, making him an absolute delight around the house. He's well-trained and adapts beautifully to routines, yet he's also quick to catch on to changes. While Ollie enjoys his outside time, he’s predominantly an inside dog, and will bark to come back in when he's had enough of exploring the outdoors.
This sensitive soul needs a kind, experienced handler who understands canine body language and adheres to positive training methods. Ollie forms strong bonds with his family and is highly protective of his home. He can be wary of newcomers at first, but given time and patience, he's social and well-mannered. Ollie is not suitable for suburban areas or homes with close neighbours, as he tends to bark even in a low sensory environment. His new family would benefit from living in a quieter, rural setting. He also has an aversion to noisy motorbikes and tradie utes.
Ollie's rich list of loves includes playing chase, fetching, getting butt scratches, and riding in the car. He is enthusiastic about social outings and enjoys his time at the boutique kennels where he regularly interacts with other trained dogs. It would be wonderful if his new family could continue this routine for him, as it greatly benefits his social well-being. Despite his dislike for getting his nails clipped, with patient and gentle handling, Ollie responds well over time—learning to use a scratch pad for his nails has been part of his ongoing progress.
Ollie is a bundle of joy who loves his routines but isn't afraid to adapt when needed. His heart is full of love to share with the right family, making him an incredible companion for life’s many adventures. Are you ready to welcome Ollie into your home and heart? He's eagerly waiting for a new adventure with you!

Adoption details
Please complete our online pre-adoption screener form and a co-ordinator will be in touch with you as soon as possible - https://form.jotform.co/Freshstartrescue/adoptionenquiryform
This is in no way an obligation to adopt but simply gives us some more information about the home, family and lifestyle you have to offer a new pet.
As of 2017, Fresh Start Rescue are no longer placing dogs in homes with children under the age of 9 years old. We know this will frustrate many families looking to adopt, however for the safety of both those families and are beloved dogs, we have decided to put this measure into place.
