About Popeye
My name is Popeye and “I yam what I yam, and dats all that I yam”.
I was born on the 14th March 2022 and my breeding is a bit of a mystery. I am believed to have traits of being a Staffy X Australian Cattle Dog, but really – I am one of a kind! I am on the smaller side of medium weighing 18kg (yes – that means I am just the right size for snuggles and play!)
I came into Paws For Life with my friend Olive (who I think is pretty neat). So, I do like having a friend around – however I would need to meet them first to make sure we are buds. I also don’t mind chilling on my own. The staff have discovered that I LOVE kids. I think they are the absolute best thing since peanut butter biscuits (or spinach!?). I also love just hanging out and following the humans all around. What did you say? Quite day poking around at home? Count me in! Going for an adventure or a stroll? Count me in! I really am a chill unbothered dude who just wants some loving.
I have had a bit of a rough trot to life, recently discovering at a vet visit that due to prior injury my tail requires amputation. But don’t let that put you off, the staff here said they would take care of it and I think having a little nub to wiggle is going to really top off my cool dude look!
My ideal home is one where I can be part of the family and enjoy all the good things life has to offer (yes – this includes a fluffy bed!). “I’ve learned that it’s not about how the journey starts, but rather how it ends.” Will you be my happy ending?
My adoption fee is $450 which includes microchipping, up to date vaccinations, desexing, flea & worm treated and lifetime registration in NSW. It also includes the cost of my medically required tail amputation.
