About Toast and Nanna
Meet Toast and Nanna, adorable best friends that are ready to charm their way into your heart. They love to hang together, share a bed together, wrestle together - they must stay together.
They are friendly + loyal and love cuddles and affection. Nothing better for them to sit on your lap. Nanna loves to snuggle up to Toast too and groom him, which is very sweet. Toast loves a good scratch behind the ears and on the butt! And Nanna loves to say hello to everyone and will be your little shadow. They have a lovely kind vibe that will put a smile on your face and brighten your day.
They currently sleep in a crate together at night but would sleep on your bed if allowed. They travel in the car well, good with stairs and they love a walk!!!
They would be best suited to a family that is home very often and has older children. If you have been searching for cheerful companions, ready to be part of your family, then Toast and Nanna are your pair!

Adoption details
We aim to ensure that every adoption is a perfect match. Our adoption process is made to ensure the well being and happiness of both the Cavalier and their adoptive family. It works like this:
1. ADOPTION LISTING: When the time is right we will list rescued/surrendered Cavalier’s here on Pet Rescue. Please read and consider the listing before applying.
2. ADOPTION APPLICATION: Prospective adopters begin by filling out an application for adoption. Please email me (rhiannanaylor@hotmail.com) and I will email you back an application form to complete. This form helps us understand your lifestyle and situation to match that with each Cavalier’s individual needs, personalities, development and health.
3. MEET AND GREET: Once your application is reviewed we will be in touch if we feel we have a match. We will arrange a meet and greet. This gives you an opportunity to interact together.
4. ADOPTION AGREEMENT: If the interaction goes well we'll ask you to sign an agreement regarding the adoption. This document outlines the responsibilities of both parties and serves as a commitment to providing a loving forever home to the adopted Cavalier.
5. ADOPTION FEE: An adoption fee is required to help cover the costs associated with the day to day care, medical care, grooming, transport, paperwork and rehabilitation. The fee varies depending on the situation.
6. TAKE YOUR NEW FAMILY MEMBER HOME: Congratulations! Once the adoption process is complete and the adoption fee is paid, you can take your new furry family member home. We will provide you with all the necessary information, including medical records, feeding guidelines and tips for a smooth transition. Please be prepared to work with your rescued Cavalier through the adjustment period that may follow the adoption. Some stress and confusion is natural. Housebreaking mistakes may occur until the Cavalier is on board with the new routine. They may be cautious at first and it may take a little while for them to be interested in food or play. In order for them to adjust to your home and family they need your time, love and patience plus positive training.
7. FOLLOW UP SUPPORT: Our commitment to you and your new pet Cavalier doesn't end after adoption. We offer ongoing support and guidance to help ensure a successful transition and a lifetime of happiness for both you and your furry friend. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have along the way.
Thank you for considering adoption from TNT Cavalier Rescue. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of Cavaliers in need.

Do you currently own any other pets?
Have you owned a Cavalier before or another dog breed?
Does anyone in your household have any allergies as Cavalier’s shed hair (some barely any and others more)?
Do you have children?
Do you live in a house or apartment with grassed backyard/area and secure fences/gates?
What are the doggy sleeping arrangements?
Do you have a doggy door?
Cavalier’s like to access all areas 24/7 and they are not an ‘outside’ dog. Would either of these be a problem?
How many hours a week would the Cavalier be left home alone?
Can you offer daily exercise to have a sniff around PLUS walk and run?
Vet bills for this breed can add up due to common heart conditions and eye problems plus teeth cleaning or other unforeseen circumstances. They also require a yearly check up and vaccinations. Is this affordable? Do you have a trusted vet?
Anything else about yourself that you would like to add?
** Costs of dog ownership - Food, bedding, collar/lead/harness, flea/worm/tick/heartworm treatments, vaccinations, annual vet checks, treats, toys and grooming.
