Ever wanted a border collie but don't have the space, well here is your chance to have a pint sized one!

After a tough start to life, Naitch is ready to live hard and love harder.

Naitch has quickly developed a taste for food, bedding, cuddles, and treats. Being a Collie x Chi he is extremely smart and trainable, and treats will forever be his weakness.

Naitch still has a lot to learn, and new experiences and sudden movements are really scary. But he tries hard to trust his people and his mentor dog, and will now walk on a leash, sit for his food, and use the little door that hits him on the bum on his way outside. (These all continue to be works in progress.)

His reliance on his foster sister/mentor dog shows that Naitch will need to be rehomed with another dog who will teach him to play, and teach him how to be a well-loved dog. However Naitch hasn’t had any formal training, and has had little socialisation outside of his litter and foster sister, so he is prone to resource guarding food and high-value toys. He also wants to jump due to his excitement at meal times. He will need training, and to be fed separately in the interim.

Naitch has tested well with children 7-9yo, however they’ll need to be wary of his anxieties. He is still prone to running and hiding at sudden movements, but he’ll be an amazing playmate and cuddle buddy if allowed to move at his own speed.

He has tested briefly with a cat. He was curious, and didn’t chase when the cat ran away. Naitch would likely get along well with a cat, and is young enough to learn.

While Naitch doesn’t appear to have any separation anxiety when left with his foster sister, he hasn’t been tested for a period longer than 5 hours, he hasn’t been left alone without his foster sister, and he’s very clingy when his foster human is home. He wants to be on your lap when you’re awake, he wants to be under the bed covers touching you when you’re asleep. The human contact currently seems important to Naitch feeling safe enough to rest.

All Naitch really wants is a brother or sister, endless cuddles, treats, and maybe someone who is a home a lot. He can’t wait to meet his family!
