Lucy

Lucy is a GOOD DOG! She is polite, great with other animals, and happy to be around other polite dogs. Coming from a backyard breeder, she is still learning about the wider world, and learning to love affection. She needs a family who understands her hesitation with new things and can spend time teaching her to enjoy car rides and walks in new places.

Lucy is currently fostered on a farm. She shows little interest in the livestock, but is a real homebody - while she loves to go for a run in the paddock, she comes back when you call her and runs back to the house if anything worries her. So far she has accepted new people onto the property when introduced, however as a guardian breed this is something that may require regular practice. She is currently living with cats inside, and poultry on the fence line, and has shown little interest in either. She is starting to play with the other dogs in her foster home, and is gaining confidence as she realises they respect her space.

Lucy is just starting to come out of her shell, and there is a really goofy and playful pupper in there! Can you give her the home she needs to let her true personality shine? She loves a pat and is starting to love cuddles and kisses too. We hope she will soon develop the confidence to sit on the couch with us!

Lucy is house trained and sleeps well indoors overnight. She will need a home with plenty of space to run - a farm would be ideal. She will also need a dog friend, or an owner who is home more often than not - she has spent enough of her life alone!
