About Lina
This little bony pony is ready for the show ring; with her perfect prance and the attitude that every outing is an opportunity to be admired and adored, Lina is looking for a home where there will be ample opportunities to meet with new people, her very favourite thing! Often on a walk Lina will glance over her shoulder to see if anyone is behind her, and then politely refuse to walk any further so that her new friend can catch up and say hello. There is a distinct look of heartbreak she reserves for being ignored by passer by, so you’ll need to be ready to meet all of your neighbours with this little socialite by your side.
Although a superstar at apartment living, and happy to spend a few hours home alone without fuss (although you might find your slippers relocated), Lina loves her two big walks a day and enjoys a bit of mental stimulation with food puzzles. She can be a bit overexcited by high energy dogs, and gets very frustrated when others are running when she is stuck on the lead, so she prefers walks in quiet areas where other dogs are also on leash. She will happily make friends with calm medium to large dogs, but her greeting style is a bit physical and enthusiastic and can overwhelm smaller pups, she’s working on that!
Lina is a big fan of the snuggle, and would prefer a home where she is welcomed onto couches and beds. No one has the heart to explain to her that lapdog is actually a size and not a vibe, so you’ll need to be prepared to stop what you are doing to hold her occasionally, just to ensure the daily quota of hugs is sufficiently met.
Although she could easily fit into a home with a resident medium to large dog, Lina would also be more than happy to be your one and only if you are at home more often than not – or would be thrilled to accompany you to work where she would thrive in the role of “office greeter”. This perfect little pup has a sweet face and an even sweeter temperament, and we just know that you’ll fall in love the second you meet her.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option
