About Hershey
Meet Hershey, a lovable long-haired cat who’s as sweet as his namesake. With a confident swagger and a playful gleam in his eyes, Hershey is the epitome of feline charm and charisma. His friendly nature makes him an instant favorite, and he's always ready for a good snuggle session.
Hershey is quite the foodie and is known for his vocal reminders when mealtime approaches. He loves food so much that he might even attempt to sample your leftovers, making him the perfect little kitchen companion. Every evening, he entertains himself with "toe zoomies," using his toes to propel himself across the floor like a goofy little rocket. Watching his playful antics is bound to put a smile on anyone's face. Hershey loves playing and snuggling with his sister, creating a heartwarming sibling bond that's a joy to witness.
Hershey's social nature extends to other animals, making him an ideal fit for a multi-pet household. As night falls and Hershey winds down from his busy day of exploring and play, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy. He loves pats and will curl up right next to you, purring softly as he drifts off to sleep.
If you're looking for a cat that combines the best of playfulness, affection, and social grace, Hershey could be the perfect addition to your home. His snuggles, vocal reminders for food, and playful energy are sure to fill your days with joy and warmth.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
