Crumpet

Crumpet has outdone herself in the medical history department.

We were advised to put her to sleep when she arrived.

Honestly she was completely blind, scared, had pressure sores on all her joints, masses on her ear from scratching, masses between her toes from allergies, infected screw tail and difficulty breathing and a very significant heart murmur.

She was, however, an excellent eater. Everyone needs a talent and food is Crumpets.

Crumpet was just a baby and she had obviously had a dreadful start to her life. We had to try.

She had entropion and cherry eye surgery on both eyes. The eye infections due to those conditions were treated and finally she could see ♥️. She was so happy and hasn’t looked back. She will require eye drops due to dry eye, for the rest of her life due to the damage sustained prior to surgery.

Next we desexed her, amputated her infected screw tail and removed several masses from her ears.

5/5 boas surgery came next to ensure she could breath.

Finally we had a successful plan for her allergies - they are managed quite nicely on a hypoallergenic diet.

Lastly Crumpet had an echocardiogram with the heart specialist. She has pulmonic stenosis and has to take medication daily.

We know it’s a lot but she doesn’t. She believes she is perfect and every moment is joyful. We would love to see her find a family of her own to adore her.
