This beautiful little lady is super sweet and absolutely loves a cuddle.

Poppy was well loved by her previous owner but they decided to take advantage of an opportunity to move interstate and made the tough decision to find her a new home rather than put her through the arduous 5 day drive up the coast. But she has come from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.

Being life experienced Poppy is very confident, very independent and loves to chill out and do her own thing. She has come from an indoor / outdoor environment where she will chill out in the sun during the day then come inside at night time when her human came home and it was time for food an cuddles. She's the type of cat who will step out of her cat carrier and make herself at home very quickly.

Poppy is also super affectionate but it's very much affection on her terms. When she's in the mood she will be rubbing up against your legs, crawling all over you while you're sitting on the couch and will curl up in bed with you at night time. She's not the type of cat you can chase after and pick up ( big no no ) but when she's in the mood for love she will be all over you

Poppy is used to being the only cat in the household so we would love to find her a home where she can be the only cat and ideally where she can go outside to explore and do her business. She is very smart, great with a cat door and would be an ideal companion for a retiree or older couple living in the country or suburbia on a bit of land.

Poppy is approximately 10 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
