Hi all, Im Helios, a living ray of sunshine.
There isn’t heaps known about me and my life before I came into foster care, but if you ask anyone to describe me in 4 words or less they would say goofy, snuggly and deceptively intelligent.
I am absolutely a stage 5 clinger and if I could crawl into your skin I would. I love people, all people, it really doesn’t matter, my mum says that I need to be more careful with the smaller humans because my love explosions would probably be too much for them.

My foster mum has been working hard on my separation anxiety and I have been getting so much better but this would need to be an ongoing process. In saying that, if my foster fur sister is with me I have absolutely no problem.
So I guess my ideal home would have a compatible fur sibling for me or people who worked from home or could take me to work with them.

I am goofy and full of energy and joy but that doesn’t mean I am not smart. In the short time I have been in foster care I have learnt so many things. I am now toilet trained, I know how to use a doggy door, I sleep in my crate by myself all night long, I sit, shake, drop and touch. I’m starting to learn to wait for food and am no longer flying through the front door for walkies. I walk really well on the lead but do sometimes get distracted with sniffs so that’s a continued work in progress. I’m so obsessed with my people that I have been picking recall up with no issue.
I even went to my first ever doggy birthday party the other day and managed not to launch face first into the doggy cake. My foster mum says that my eagerness to please and food drive make me super trainable and a family who would commit to continue working with me could have me doing a whole repertoire of tricks in no time.

My foster mum says that I will either become your best friend or the love of your life but probably both. I am the epitomy of “boy dog”, think that sweet, lovable, goofy high school boyfriend, the one that got away kinda vibes. If you think you are the right family for me then please don’t let me get away!!!
