About Sassy
Introducing Sassy Pants!
As her name suggests, Sassypants has a whole lot of attitude under that whole lot of fur!
She is full of character and is ready to win you over with her playful personality.
Like most Arctic breeds Sassy adores her time with her family. Alaskan Malamutes are dogs that adore companionship and Sassy is no exception. She has bonded with some of the staff here at The Lost Dogs' Home and loves her play time in the yards with them. Sassy wants to be part of your family, she is not interested in being a garden ornament and being left outside all day and night, she wants to be inside hanging out with you!
Malamutes are an incredibly intelligent breed that requires lots of mental and physical stimulation. Sassy will need regular daily walks and loads of toys at home to keep her entertained. She would make a great companion for someone that loves to get out in to the big outdoors that wants a giant furry friend to tag along!
Sassypants could potentially go to a home with another dog but she has attitude about this too. They need to be a good match in playstyle and sass so if you do have an existing floof already - bring them in and let's see if they get along!
Her attitude means that Sassy is not suitable to go to a home with kids, she prefers the company of adults that can read her behaviour easily.
The one thing that Sassypants is not keen on, is visiting the vet (can you really blame her, no one likes going to the doctor!). While in our care she has been working on not being so vocal when undergoing her check-ups, the staff here at The Lost Dogs' Home can tell you all about how we are using positive- reinforcement to help her through these experiences.
