About Angel - 1 Year Old Kelpie (Trial)
If you love the Kelpie breed, but would also like a sweet, calm & placid companion, then beautiful 1 year old Angel is for you!!
Angel is a very playful, confident & happy girl, who also loves to cuddle on the lounge at night and be close to her people. She is the most loving snuggle bug!
Angel is best suited to a family that is home more often than not, and if she is to be left alone, she would require a furry companion for company. She is very dog friendly, and loves her foster brother. They play well together and get the zoomies around the yard. Due to her small size (13.5kgs) and placid nature, she would suit families with children of any age, however ideally her new family will have plenty of love, time and patience for her.
Angel has made foundational progress with crate & toilet training while in foster care, however her new family will need to be committed to ongoing training. She walks beautifully on the lead and travels well in the car. She will need to be welcome inside, and able to sleep inside also.
While she is very placid (especially for the Kelpie breed) she still requires regular excercise and mental enrichment, and would love to be walked & played with regularly.
Angel has Corneal Endothelial Cell Degeneration, believed to be a result from illness as a pup. This is where her cornea is unable to move water through the eye, so it builds up giving it a blue appearance. She can still see very well, but does require eye drops morning & night to help move the water through the eye. This should improve overtime, but the eye drops will be required for life. While Angel requires a special home, be assured that her eye condition does not stop her in the slightest! She is still a beautiful & vibrant Kelpie pup with a zest for life.
Angel has been an absolute joy to have in foster care! Her forever family will be truly blessed to have her in their lives.
