Gabby

Gabby is a very sweet natured affectionate girl. She is quite petite for a Whippet but that just makes her perfect lap size!

Out of the two girls, she will be the first to greet someone new, assuring she gets any available treats before her half sister gets a chance.

Gabby walks quite well on a lead, although initially she can be a bit excitable, which can lead to pulling. However once reminded of her manners, she is much better. Gabby has been for visits to town and has taken it all in her stride, even though it is clearly very unfamiliar to her. She rides really well in the car and we suspect she probably did quite of bit of that with her previous owner.

Gabby is crate trained and happily sleeps through the night and even happily sleeps in, with no fuss! Gabby is also very clean in the house and holds on until she is taken out for a walk to do her business.

Gabby is bonded to her half sister Zoe, so they must be adopted together.

The perfect home for these girls would be an active person or couple, preferably with some experience with sight hounds. An understanding of their inherent prey drive is essential. Due to their prey drive, they are unsuitable for a home with any kind of small animal, including small dogs. We also would not recommend a home with small children, however older kids would be ok.

Anyone interested in adopting these girls will need to be prepared to travel to the Bega Valley to meet them. If you have an existing dog, you will also need to bring it to meet them as well.
