Hey there, I'm Jackson, a spirited older boy Jack Russell Terrier here at the shelter. Despite my age, I've got loads of energy and a passion for balls and soft toys (especially the kind I can "rearrange" to my liking).

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm your typical JRT through and through—smart, lively, and always ready for action. I love being active and exploring the world around me. Fetch? Count me in! Long walks? Let's go! I might be older, but I still have that spark and enthusiasm that defines my breed.

Now, finding the right home for me is important. I need someone who understands Jack Russells well—a person with experience handling our spirited nature and knack for getting into mischief. I'm quite boisterous for my age, so I'd do best with confident children over 15 who can keep up with my playful antics.

It's also worth mentioning that I prefer to be the only dog in the household. I've shown a tendency to bark at other dogs here at the shelter, so I'd thrive in an environment where I can be the center of attention.
