About Betty
Betty is like a teddy bear in looks and nature. She has a wonderful soft coat and loves cuddles.
She is medium sized (the photos in front of the car give the best indication of her size) and fully grown.
She is very affectionate and given the chance, she will sneak into your lap.
She travels well in the car and is okay on the lead, getting better every walk.
We think she'd be suited to a home on her own, where she gets gentle walks and lots of love.
Betty has partial paralysis of her larynx. This has resulted in her breathing being a little noisy (and she's quite the snorer!). It does not affect her in any other way. She is lively, has a great appetite and is always happy to see you.
It has been thoroughly investigated by our vets with x-rays, scoping and physical examination under sedation.
It's quite possible she'll live a normal, long life. However, there is the possibility it may deteriorate as she ages - unfortunately it is impossible to predict.
Our vets are happy to be contacted by prospective adopters for further information.
Betty was clipped when her condition was investigated (in case it was caused by a tick). Let's just say it wasn't her best look ... but her gorgeous fluffy coat has almost grown completely back.
Her adoption fee will be waived, however our usual strict adoption criteria will still apply to ensure the perfect home for Betty.
