Abby🌞4yo, Shih Tzu x Maltese(On Trial 12/8/24)

Abby is a sweet and friendly, 4yo, Shih Tzu x Maltese 🌼. She is a very social girl who wants to make friends with every person and every dog she meets. She is a low-shedding breed so she’s good for people with allergies.

Abby is very much an inside girl. She is housetrained and uses a doggie door. She will let you know when people are walking past but she’s not a nuisance barker. She is ok left at home alone for a several hours at a time but not all day. So, we're looking for a home where there is someone who doesn’t work full-time.

Abby has a soft and silky coat. Since she doesn’t shed, she will need professional clipping approximately every 4 to 8 weeks and regular bathing. If you keep her coat long she will need daily combing to prevent tangles. She is healthy and weighs around 6kgs. Her birthday is 27/5/2020.

Abby is friendly with children but she isn't suitable to a busy household with young ones under 8, but young visitors are fine. She hasn’t been tested with cats but if you have a cat then we could test Abby with a local cat to see how she reacts.

* Meeting people.

* Going for walks.
* Car rides. She eagerly jumps in the car to go for an adventure.
* Playing fetch and tug with people or dogs.
* Tossing around soft toys.
* Food and treats.
* Learning new things and earning treats.
* Cuddling and being very affectionate.

🏡 ABBY’S FOREVER PERSON/COUPLE/FAMILY:
* Wants a fun loving, active, affectionate companion.
* Will take her for a walk each day.
* Doesn’t work full time.
* Doesn’t have children under 8.
* Other resident dogs are fine.
* Has a yard with secure fencing.

Abby is in foster care in Eleebana, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐She is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT.

Her adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas & worms, microchipped and lifetime registered
