About Malibu
Malibu is ready to find her new home and next adventure with a side of cuddles too.
She is a smart girl and has been good around children while in care. While she has been around other dogs in care it has been with supervision as she can be dog selective at times.
Ideally Malibus new home would be one with older children, no cats and no dogs. Keep in mind that she will still need socialisation around other dogs.
Further training is suggested for Malibu, although she is a smart girl training will not only help with her socialisation but build a strong bond between you both.
Malibu loves to play with toys and will bring basically what ever you throw for her, she enjoys a good cuddle and bum scratch too.
She is great in a crate and will sleep the night away with no problems, she is also house trained and will try to sneak up on the couch with you if allowed.
Malibu loves to go for walks and explore her surroundings having a good sniffing session along the way.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
