About Caramilk
Meet Caramilk: Your Future Best Friend!
Caramilk is a 1-year-old American Bulldog mix seeking a loving forever home. We are offering a foster-to-adopt arrangement within the City of Greater Bendigo, allowing you to see how Caramilk settles in before making a final decision. If you are outside the shire but interested in Caramilk, we are open to discussing options.
Caramilk thrives as the only dog in the household. While she has shown positive interactions with other dogs, she can be selective about her canine companions. We aim to place her in a home where she can be gradually socialized with other dogs, ensuring her new family feels fully confident in her interactions. Shelters can be stressful environments, making it difficult to gauge a dog's true nature around other dogs.
Caramilk is perfect for families with older kids who can help with training and are comfortable around energetic dogs. She is an excitable and loving dog who enjoys being around people. Caramilk is very responsive to training and will thrive in a home where she receives plenty of love and guidance.
Caramilk is ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of love into her new home. If you think Caramilk might be the perfect fit for your family, please reach out to us!
To book a meet and greet with Caramilk please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
