About Paul
Paul was surrendered by his owner alongside his friend Scrumpy. Paul was in good health, but sadly Scrumpy needed urgent vet care- he wasn’t well. The owners, unable to provide the necessary vet care, were left with no choice but to euthanise Scrumpy, we couldn’t let this happen so we stepped in to help.
Scrumpy’s condition was severe when he arrived at our foster home. Thanks to the support of our generous community we were able to step in and get Scrumpy the vet care he urgently needed to have the best chance of survival.
Scrumpy’s health deteriorated due to multiple calcium oxalate stones blocking his urethra, causing him excruciating pain. In a race against time, emergency surgeries were performed. Scrumpy was vet-cleared, reunited with Paul and his future was looking bright. Then sadly, out of nowhere, our foster carer noticed that Scrumpy wasn’t well again. He was rushed to the vet again, but his little body couldn’t fight any longer. Scrumpy sadly passed away with our foster carer by his side. Scumpy’s legacy will live on and he will be forever in our hearts.
Paul now without his companion, is seeking a loving home with some friends to give him company. His new home will need to have secure fencing, a shelter to keep him warm and dry, and plenty of space for him to roam and play. Most importantly, he will need a family who will shower him with the love and care he deserves.
