Meet Charlie 💛
Hello, I’m Charlie.
I’m a gentle, calm little gentleman looking for a loving home to spend my golden years in. If you’re after a sweet companion with a peaceful nature, a playful streak, and lots of love to give, I might just be your perfect match.
I like to keep a pretty good routine. In the morning, I enjoy a little play session — I still love chasing toys around the house, so don’t let my age fool you! I’m playful and curious, but in a polite way… I’m not the type to knock over your plants or redecorate your shelves. After playtime comes breakfast, which is obviously a very important part of the day.
Once that’s done, I’m usually ready for a long afternoon nap. Later on, I’ll wake up and happily keep you company while you cook dinner. I might have another little snooze after that, enjoy my evening meal, and then save some energy for a few bedtime zoomies before we both call it a night.
I’m the kind of cat who loves being near my people. I’m a big fan of belly scratches, couch cuddles, and keeping you company while you watch TV. I’m also an excellent biscuit maker and have a very enthusiastic purr motor — you’ll probably hear it often.
I’m easygoing and pretty low-fuss. I love my humans very much, but I’m also independent in a nice way and good at entertaining myself or relaxing nearby. I’d fit well in a home looking for a calm, affectionate companion.
I do have a few extra care needs. I’ve had dental surgery before, so I’m currently on oral-care dry food and will need ongoing attention to my dental health. I also have a heart condition that means I need daily medication. But I’m a very good boy about it, and I make the whole process nice and easy.
What I’m really looking for is a kind home where I can be loved, cared for, and included in the little rhythms of everyday life. In return, I’ll offer gentle company, soft purrs, biscuit-making services, and a lot of love.
I think I deserve a cozy place to spend the rest of my life feeling safe and cherished — and I promise I’ll give that love right back.
Love,
Charlie

Medical notes
Charlie has a heart murmur secondary to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Due to thickening of the heart muscle, he is at increased risk of blood clot formation and congestive heart failure. He is currently receiving daily medications to reduce clot risk and help prevent fluid accumulation. Ongoing monitoring is recommended, including 6-monthly veterinary examinations and echocardiography every 1–2 years.
Charlie recently underwent a dental scale and polish with multiple tooth extractions. Daily home dental care is recommended to help maintain oral health and slow progression of dental disease.
While we cannot predict how much time Charlie has left, we know he deserves a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by comfort, care and companionship. Our hope is to find a family who will cherish every moment with him and make the years ahead the very best they can be.
