About Gracie
Gracie is back up for adoption due to her meet and greets not being successful.
Please note if applying Gracie she is as advised 1 year and 5 months old - if your looking for an older dog please don't apply.
Please also note she must go to a home with another dog - this is vital to help Gracie's confidence
Hi my name is Gracie, I’m a 1 year and 5 month old Tibetan Spaniel x
I am looking for my fur-ever family where we can share endless amounts of love and affection between us.
I and many others, came into care a few months ago from a backyard breeder and we were very timid and unsure when we arrived. I also came into care with a belly full of babies and now they have been raised it's time for me to begin my new life with my furever family.
I wasn’t used to affection, but now that I have experienced it, I never want it to end. My favorite place to be is snuggled up with my foster mum, either on her lap while she works during the day, or next to her on the lounge at night.
I am very nervous when meeting new people so I don't give a great impression but if you are happy to give me the time I need to settle and be comfortable the love I will show you is totally worth it.
I absolute love having a fur sibling to snuggle with and also I have started to learn how to play. My foster mum says I really need to go to a home with another small breed that is happy to be my BFF.
I am around young teenagers at the moment, I think if the kids are too young and really loud it will make me nervous.
I would really enjoy a home where there is someone home more often than not, or a home where people work from home or a retired person who wants to spend lots of time with me. I am happiest when I’m with my humans.
At night time, I like to sleep in my foster family’s bedroom. My foster mum encourages me to sleep on the dog bed, however I much prefer to sleep in her bed. I never like to miss an opportunity for snuggles.
Sometimes when new people come to visit I can get scared, but I am slowly getting more comfortable with strangers. It helps if they just leave me be and let me approach at my leisure.
Initially I wasn’t very keen to try new foods, but once I felt safe and comfortable in my environment, I realised that new foods are actually fantastic.
When my foster family goes out, I prefer to be left inside the house. This is where I feel safest and most comfortable.
I am learning to walk on a lead but it's baby steps at the moment but would love a mum / dad / family who can work with me teaching me this.
I am toilet trained but might have an accident if I can’t get outside.
I am 5.1kg of love and joy.
I have not been tested on cats.
If you are patient and loving with me as I settle into another new home, then I promise I will repay you with so much love and affection that we will be best friends forever.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
